The best way to store documents is in archive boxes that are not too heavy to move.

The boxes should be numbered and the number clearly labelled on each side of the box, so if it can be read easily however the box is piled.

An index of the box contents should also be prepared and kept at the document storage facility with a spare at the office so any documents can be quickly located without sorting through piles of paper.

Save space and make your document self storage more effective by keeping archives in bundles that can be shredded to clear out space on rotation when your business no longer has a requirement to keep them.
