In the wake of a devastating fire that occurred at a self-storage facility in Croydon on New Year’s Eve 2018, we would like to reassure our customers of
the security measures we have in place to help prevent such disasters.
Security is paramount at all of our stores; our facilities have electronic entry gates and the majority of our units are individually alarmed, activated
by a unique code. We have 24-hour CCTV at all of our sites and all stores are fully compliant with national building and fire regulations. A contract
is in place with an out-of-hours support company who is able to respond immediately to any emergencies which may happen outside of our operating hours.
When customers put their belongings into our storage facility, insurance cover is required. We offer a bespoke insurance policy with cover at a cost of
£1.38 per week per £1000 of goods stored. We request that our customers declare the correct replacement value of their goods so that their goods are
insured to the right value. Storage insurance will protect the belongings against normal perils, including fire,
flooding, theft and more, providing the cover is correct for the goods being stored.
