Space Station preparing to bring (chocolatey) smiles to poorly children

You may have read in an earlier blog about how Space Station staff would be taking Easter Eggs to children in hospital and those being visited by nursing staff at home over the Easter period. Well, it was a fun and exhausting day but it was so worth it, a real delight to see the children’s faces light up as we arrived in the wards with masses of chocolate eggs. They may not have been out of hospital for Easter celebrations but at least we could take Easter to them.

Space Station team members Sue and Jonathan delivered 100 eggs to children at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Hillingdon Hospital, Hillingdon, and West Middlesex Hospital, Isleworth over the Easter period. Even the preparations were fun as we prepared to take the biggest bounty of chocolate eggs ever seen so we thought we would share some photos with you.

Jonathan hard at work. Thank goodness we have trolleys to help us move these eggs or it would have taken all week!

Jonathan Slade of Space Station said “As the longest established self storage company in the UK, we’re well known in the area and being an active part of the community is important to us. Most of our staff live in and around [the immediate vicinity of our branches in Slough, Isleworth and Middlesex] so it’s nice to give something back"

The important preparations are all in place

I wonder what’s in here...

No one would ever guess what’s in here...A job well done Sue!
