Here at Space Station, we’re delighted to announce our charity partnership for 2016, with children’s charity – Variety!

Variety is very close to our hearts. They offer practical help to children and young people throughout the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged, by providing specialist equipment, such as Sunshine Coaches and Variety Wheelchairs, through their grant programmes – as well as creating memorable childhood experiences through their Variety at Work scheme.

Over the next 18 months we aim to raise £20,000 through a ‘variety’ of activities, to sponsor a new Sunshine Coach.

Our fundraising plans and activities are already well underway, and each store will have a nominated charity representative who will be coordinating lots of different activities to raise the funds.

If you’d like to know anything more about Variety, and the wonderful work they do, please view the Variety the children’s charity website.

Sponsoring a Sunshine Coach

97% of coaches are used many times a week – often several times a day
86% of our young passengers have physical, learning or sensory disabilities
71% of coach use is for educational, recreational and residential trips.

Jumping for charity

Sunday 16 October 2016

Staff from our head office have organised another kind of jump in aid of Variety; teaming up with local trampoline park 'Jump In' who have kindly allowed the use of their premises.

Local children are being invited to take part in a 'Charity Jump' on Sunday 16th October between 9-10am. Participants will make a small donation and enjoy an hour of free jumping. There will also be a raffle of toys donated by Hasbro and all proceeds will go straight to Variety.

Nealy Collins, Marketing Administrator at Space Station said 'Space Station is about providing people with extra space and Jump In provides a huge space for children to jump, play and let off steam - it seemed a perfect match to raise money for disadvantaged children. We're really grateful to Jump In for allowing us to use their space'.

If you would like to find out more or book a space please contact Nealy at nealy.collins@space-station.co.uk
